Artists in conversation: Jasleen Kaur & Beverley Bennett

Accessible Event Recording
2021

Artists Jasleen Kaur and Beverley Bennett reflect on and raise questions about what constitutes a collaborative art practice. Held at Manchester Art Gallery, Kaur and Bennett explored ideas around long-term agendas, slow ways of working, and working with people's testimonies; discussing the processes involved in working collaboratively and how care informs each of their practices. Taking Kaur’s commission Gut Feelings Meri Jaan at Touchstones, Rochdale as a starting point for the conversation, both artists touched upon their past contributions to Constellations, UP Projects’ artist development programme for socially engaged practitioners.

Artists in conversation: Jasleen Kaur & Beverley Bennett is produced by UP Projects in collaboration with Manchester Art Gallery.
