The Mixed-Race Experience by Naomi and Natalie Evans

The ‘Mixed Race Experience’ was written by sisters Nathalie and Naomi who have spent the last years reflecting about their own experiences relating to racism and growing up in the UK.

Nathalie is an Events Manager, an anti-racist educator, speaker and writer from Kent and Naomi is the Head of Drama at a secondary school in the South East of England, an anti-racist educator, speaker and writer.

The book tells the story of the complexities of the mixed-race identities in the UK. The book is a mix of interviews with people from mixed race backgrounds, research addressing stereotypes and myths and practical advice.

The sisters also started the Instagram account @everydayracism_ which offers tips on how to be anti-racist! The Everyday Racism started as a project dedicated to giving space to black, indigenous, and people of colour (BIPOC) allowing them is share experiences, today it provides everything from informational posts to a book club (of which we are great followers!).
