As a young Turkish Cypriot woman who was born and raised in Enfield, this borough has always been home. My dream for culture in Enfield is to see creativity placed at the heart of community life, not as a luxury, but as something accessible to all ages and backgrounds. Through poetry, spoken word, and creative expression, I have seen how powerful creativity can be in supporting wellbeing, connection, and confidence. I would love to help build an Enfield where creativity shows up everywhere: in libraries, cafés, parks, schools, and community spaces, where people feel encouraged to express themselves, feel heard, and feel deeply connected to one another.
