Sabeha

Community Collaborator

My name is Sabeha, a cyclist and resident of Newham. I have extensive experience in women’s development and engagement, promoting diversity, inclusion, and widening participation. Throughout my career, I have worked to increase representation and tackle inequalities, particularly in underrepresented communities. I am passionate about community and creating meaningful connections. Relevant to this project, I am currently Area Coordinator for Cycle Sisters, where I manage the Newham group based on the Olympic Park. I also work for Sustrans, and was previously a Behaviour Change Officer, leading Newham cycle initiatives. Navigating London is challenging, but these challenges are amplified with additional barriers, particularly for women, when it can feel overwhelming. Through this project, my hope is to creatively collaborate with my peers and create wayfinding resources for the Olympic Park to enable an accessible, inclusive, and connected environment.
