My name is Rivka, I was raised in Hackney and have watched east London transform from pre to post 2012 Olympics. I am interested in cultural placemaking and since graduating with a Geography degree, I have worked across charities and the arts. Recently, I worked in Marshgate at UCL East, commuting alongside West Ham and ABBA fans. I also have a feminist photography practice. In 2020, I produced a portrait series about the threat of male violence in public spaces called ‘They Come Out at Night’. I am really excited to take part in this public art project because I believe in the power of art and co-creation to implement change.
