Negative Space - Women of Colour in Photography produced by Bella Okuya

‘Negative Space: Women of Colour in Photography’ produced by Bella Okuya, who is currently running a Kickstarter to turn this project into a photo book.

‘Negative Space: Women of Colour’ is a photobook that showcases the experiences of women of colour within the photography industry. It features interviews with, photography of, and insights into working as a photographer.

“In a society where women are underrepresented in professional photography - and women of colour even more so – there are many challenges we must contend with, and this book shares some of these stories.” - Bella Okuya

“The images in this book are intended to inspire future generations of diverse women to represent in photography, celebrate the achievements of women of colour in photography, and provide a tool for all creatives and organisations to reflect and learn from.” - Bella Okuya
