Lizzie Cardozo is a London-based multidisciplinary artist, curator, workshop facilitator and cultural organiser. Working across sculpture, printmaking and installation, her practice explores themes of memory, identity, familial structures and the body.
She graduated from Chelsea College of Arts in 2020 and has since exhibited internationally, with work shown from Taipei to the Saatchi Gallery in London. She has also participated in artist residencies across Europe and delivered workshops and teaching sessions for galleries, community organisations and higher education institutions.
Alongside her artistic practice, Lizzie is the Founder and Director of The Shop Front, an artist-led gallery and cultural initiative supporting emerging and international artists through exhibitions, workshops and public programming across London. This passion project aims to support greater accessibility and positive change within the art world by creating inclusive opportunities for emerging creatives and community participation.
She is also part of a creative collective based in Kentish Town through Hypha Studios, working collaboratively with artists and local communities on cultural programming and shared creative initiatives. Lizzie’s work focuses on community engagement and collaborative creative practice through workshop facilitation and socially engaged projects.
Recent projects include Unwritten Narratives, a documentary film produced with Enfield Young Creatives and Enfield Council, as well as Storylines, a community-focused creative project developed in collaboration with Camden Council. Through her work, she is interested in creating accessible spaces for participation, storytelling and cultural exchange
