Karen Buckels was artist in residence at the Stables at Haigh Hall for 25 years. She is a qualified teacher in art and biology. She is passionate about Haigh Hall. She believes everyone has art in their heart and in taking art and nature to the people. She currently teaches art at Eden Tearoom and Gallery, and runs an art group. She volunteers at Hindley Station, the Scarecrow Festival and Thrive CIC.
