As part of artist duo Abel Shah and founder of Residency 11:11 my practice sits between artist, facilitator and host. I am interested in creating instances of exchange that I see as moments of “contamination”, feeding into one another through hospitality and alternative modes of knowledge production.
My practice is embedded in a plurality of voices. As Abel Shah, we construct objects, texts and images that manifest into multi-media installations, and build frameworks for dialogue and collaboration.
With 11:11, I focus on the societal value of art and am dedicated to supporting projects that reimagine the future of the function of art away from its commodification.
