Senior Curator (Learning and Live Research)

Elisabeth is Senior Curator (Learning and Live Research) at UP Projects where she oversees learning, public programmes, and evaluation across all projects. Elisabeth leads on Constellations, our annual learning and development programme for artists, curators and producers and is currently leading on research and development of UP Projects' 2025 headline commission.

In 2023, Elisabeth curated Co-Creating Public Space: How Can We Thrive? UP Projects' conference developed in partnership with John Hansard Gallery that brought together a range of UK-based and international public art practitioners whose socially engaged practice and methods of co-creation explore how art can help communities reimagine new futures.

Elisabeth’s curatorial research explores issues of socio-political significance through collaborative art practices and alternative learning methodologies. She applies this knowledge to the curatorial development of projects across UP Projects’ programme.

Alongside her role at UP Projects, Elisabeth is also Associate Lecturer on the MA Curating Contemporary Art at Royal College of Art. Between 2018-19 she co-curated the 12th Kaunas Biennial where she was working as part of a five-piece curatorial collective. Other recent independent projects include events at ICA, Art Night and Emalin Gallery, and participation in the NEON Exchange Programme in Athens organised by NEON Foundation and Whitechapel Gallery. Having previously worked as Associate Specialist at Christie’s London in the Post-War & Contemporary Art department, Elisabeth brings over 12 years of experience working in both the commercial and public art sector.

Elisabeth has received a BA in History of Art from Goldsmiths, an MA in Curating Contemporary Art from Royal College of Art and has recently completed the Clore Leadership Pulse programme.
