This week we are looking at 1000 Voices a podcast series, who’s mission it is to interview 1,000 inspirational black Britons and provide a space to inspire, educate and cultivate entrepreneurship.
“The concept for 1000 Voices began with the fact that we didn’t believe media representation of black Britons was the best. There are numerous examples of positive role models in our communities that simply don’t get celebrated enough, and 1000 voices was initially born to bring these success stories to the surface” – Tevin Kittoe
The series includes a host of amazing guests, including Samata Pattinson a sustainable fashion entrepreneur and CEO of Red Carpet Green Dress; Stephanie Boyce, the first ever black president of The Law society, the body that governs all solicitors across England and Wales and William Adoasi, the founder of Vitae London, a luxury watch brand that directly supports children in Sub-Saharan Africa with each watch that is sold.
Rags CV a spoken word artists and founder of Poetic Unity, a charity that delivers south London’s only weekly poetry event is also featured as well as Remel London, award winning presenter, live host and founder of The Mainstream a platform to help creatives launch their career into the mainstream. Alongside many inspiring guests.
1000 Voices has slowly become more than just a podcast evolving into a movement, community and media platform, that aims to provide and create a more equitable and representative society for black Britons.
