UP Projects have been commissioned by the London Borough of Hounslow to carry out research into the cultural provision across the Borough, mapping the current context and identifying gaps to inform the Borough’s desire to create a new Cultural Strategy for Hounslow.

As part of the process, UP Projects launched an online survey to give cultural providers, artists, arts & heritage organisations, community groups, creative freelancers and venues hosting cultural activities based locally the chance to offer us feedback.

Working closely with artist-duo, Kin Structures, UP Projects' research will identify how the current balance of cultural provision across the borough affects cultural engagement, what the existing reach is, and where the gaps lie. The research process will be informed by engagement with existing local cultural providers, artists, artists, arts & heritage organisations, community groups, creative freelancers and venues hosting cultural activity. The final research findings will be compiled and presented to the London Borough of Hounslow in a comprehensive report.

The research will inform the development of a new Culture Strategy for the Borough being led by Hounslow’s Culture Team with input from local providers, that will lay out the vision, ambitions and framework for culture in the borough.

Mapping Culture in Hounslow has been commissioned by London Borough of Hounslow, with support from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund.
