Focusing on distinct sounds, as the urban collides with the natural parklands, Close and Remote developed a sound installation and GPS smartphone app, in collaboration with local residents and sound artist Peter Cusack. Set along the banks of the River Pool and triggered by your location. Here Comes Everybody is an atmospheric audio tour which leads you around Riverpool Linear Park.
Inspired by James Joyce's novel Finnegan’s Wake, the smartphone App intertwines a story with multiple narratives, which drift between contemporary references and fanciful landscapes. Offering commentary on user generated surveillance, this interactive tour utilises the soundscape of the park to create moments of serendipity; where the physical present is mirrored by this virtual world.

Sited on the bridge where the River Pool meets the Ravensbourne, is a text and image panel that includes QR codes. Viewers can interact with this installation, which will be in situ over the next three years, using their mobile phones.
