Join us for an online seminar exploring key insights and considerations that have emerged from Constellations 2023 which addressed ideas exploring the value of attention, slow time, alternative economies, climate empowerment, and conflict & care.

Recognising that there is so much knowledge and expertise within our Constellations community, the seminar aims to create opportunities for dialogue and exchange among participants through a two-hour session facilitated by UP Projects’ Senior Curator (Learning & Live Research), Elisabeth Del Prete.

This seminar forms part of our Constellations ° Assemblies 2023, a series of free online events open to all artists, curators, practitioners, commissioners, and those working across, or interested in public art, social practice and regeneration.

The seminar will be held online, accessible via UP Projects’ digital participation space, The Hall, and will be in the form of a Zoom Meeting. Places will be limited, so please do sign up. We have implemented a "Pay What You Can" approach for those interested in signing up for the seminar, with a suggested donation of £5.

Eligibility

This seminar is a free learning and development opportunity, open to anyone who can answer yes to the following questions:

  • Are you an artist, curator, or actively involved in the expanded field of public art?
  • Are you available to attend the full two hour online session on 22 March, 10:00-12:00 GMT?
  • Have you attended at least one online Constellations ° Assembly in the past year, or the Co-Creating Public Space: How Can We Thrive Conference? If not, will you have time to listen to at least one of the online accessible recordings in advance of the seminar?
  • The seminar format will invite you to actively contribute as a participant, including taking part in small breakout rooms where you will be in dialogue with other participants. Are you comfortable to take part in this way? Please note if you have any specific access needs, please let us know in advance and we will do our best to accommodate them.

Constellations 2023 is curated by UP Projects in partnership with Flat Time House and in association with Liverpool Biennial. Constellations 2023 includes the Co-Creating Public Space: How can we thrive? conference realised in partnership with John Hansard Gallery. Constellations 2023 is generously supported by Arts Council England, the Barrington Hibbert Associates Access Fund, and the Constellations Patrons.
