Sarah Turner is Associate Commissions Manager at UP Projects, working across a range of commission projects, including The National Windrush Monument and the London Gallery Weekend performance series with artist Mandy El-Sayegh.
A curator and project manager with over 15 years’ experience in developing and delivering exhibitions and public programming for arts organisations and charities, projects include ‘States of Play’ curated for Hull City of Culture in 2017, and most recently ‘Art+Resilience’, an exhibition bringing to life climate data at COP26 UN Climate Change Conference.
Thanks to an MA in European Urban Cultures and previous roles at the Crafts Council and Berlin’s Design Festival, Sarah has a strong interest in the potential of craft and design to positively impact our lives and the world around us. In 2019, she co-founded There Project with Justine Boussard, a curatorial practice addressing contemporary issues such as regenerative economics and the climate crisis through the medium of design interventions and storytelling.
