Xanthe is a strategic and operational leader with over 15 years’ experience in building communications agencies. She has worked with clients from a wide range of industries developing digital marketing, e-commerce and mobile solutions. In 2013 Xanthe moved into the cultural sector and was Director of Commercial and Operations at the Sir John Soane Museum. She has recently joined Jane Wentworth Associates as Director and Senior Consultant working across a range of cultural clients. Xanthe is also a member of UP Projects’ Finance Sub-Committee.
Ian is a Project Director at King’s Cross, having joined Argent (the Property Developer) in October 2012. His main priority is heading up the Regeneration team who deal with strategic planning for, consultation on and the delivery of, various programmes and projects at King’s Cross and other sites. Before joining Argent, from 2007 Ian worked on the future of Hackney Wick and the associated Masterplan as part of the delivery of the 2012 Olympics legacy. Prior to this, Ian also worked for Lambeth Council, Greater London Enterprise and the Millennium Commission. Ian has an MSc distinction from the UCL Bartlett School in Spatial Planning and is a member of the RTPI.
Nicole Newman is a fundraising consultant with extensive experience in arts fundraising, sponsorship and commercial income generation. Previously Nicole was Development Director and Project Manager of a major capital project at English National Ballet, Development Director at English National Opera and at Somerset House and led the corporate fundraising at V&A and Tate, establishing many of the commercial partnership strategies that exist today. She regularly teaches and lectures on arts fundraising and brand strategy. She is also a Trustee of the Gate Theatre in Notting Hill Gate.
Mark Skipworth is Former Deputy Editor of The Telegraph where he oversaw the Sport section and the flagship multi-sectioned Saturday paper for eight years. He began his journalism career on a newspaper in North England and later spent 19 years at The Sunday Times, including 10 years in charge of news. He owns a narrowboat in the Midlands.
Amanda has worked within the arts and public sectors for over 20 years in leadership roles for arts organisations and funding bodies. She now works as a freelance consultant, facilitator and coach, with a focus on organisational development and strategic planning within the cultural sector. Amanda is Chair of the Board.
Founder-Director of UP Projects is also a member of the Board.
